Early Career
Wilson started playing the violin when he was eight years old in his native Peru. As a twelve year old, while in the class of Professor Francisco Pereda, he did his solo debut with the Trujillo Symphony Orchestra, followed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru two years later. Soon after finishing High School at the age of fifteen, Wilson moved to Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, where he studied with Professor Paulo Bosisio under the sponsorship of the Montreal Bank and the Brazilian Conservatory of music.
Wilson was invited to perform as a soloist with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. Consequently, he joined the first violin section, becoming their youngest member at the age of 17.
Mr. Pedrazas holds a Bachelor’s degree “Summa Cum Laude” and a Master’s degree from Boston University where he was a full scholarship student in the class of Professor Roman Totenberg. Subsequently, Wilson continued perfecting his skills as a soloist and chamber musician by studying with world-renowned violinists such as Joseph Silverstein (Curtis Institute), Ronald Copes (Juilliard School) and Aaron Rosand (Curtis Institute).
